Mentorship and Critique Groups

Join Amy for a 3 month mentorship, critique and artistic improvement group experience to help you excel in your creative process. Small groups meet monthly for 2.5 hours and also have a private community to ask questions, post work and get feedback from one another.

Working as an artist can be lonely and isolating at times. Having a group where you can exchange ideas and support one another, as well as get concrete feedback, will help you stay directed and motivated in your studio practice. This is a supportive, non-competitive group! I want you to improve your practice, not feel belittled or incompetent.

What you can expect:

  • Amy will lead a discussion of members' artwork live (you will submit the paintings at least a day before the group meets)--this is a supportive process for growth and learning. In other words, don't worry!

  • We will talk about the use of websites, high quality images, and social media to showcase our work to the public.

  • Handouts, links to video or articles etc will be put into our private community.

  • The private community forum is a space where you can post work, questions, and comments about work and practice.

  • Two dimensional mediums are welcome! (drawing, charcoal, ink, watercolor, acrylic, oil).
