This live online workshop focuses on using color, mark making, and energy to create exciting and energetic flower paintings out of the late flower blooms in Maine.

Week one: (2 hours) Amy discusses the components in a painting that make these flowers zing: color, mark making, energy, and focus. We will look at a flower composition together and then move into color mixing. Amy will demo a summer painting featuring sunflowers.
Week Two: (2.5 hours) Amy will spend session 2 creating a second painting using the seasonal outside landscape environment as the background. , Color mixing with the split primary palette is always a focus. This recording includes two bonuses: a ten minute painting using leftover paint and a used panel, as well as the Q + A session, not usually recorded, with the live participants.
